About the West Salem Police Department

The West Salem Police Department is a professional organization striving for excellence in all that we do. The Department was established in 1851 and is currently comprised of 13 police officers and 2 civilians. We strive to be a dynamic, continuously improving organization devoted to law enforcement, community partnership, and safety promotion. In doing so, we contribute to a higher quality of life for our residents and make our Village a safer and healthier place to live, learn, work, and play. If you have any questions or if there is anything else we can assist you with, please do not hesitate to let us know. It would be our privilege to serve you.
